Leland (Lee) Bruce, Co-Founder

Lee is the co-founder of Purple Cow Organics®, coming from 50+ years in the landscape construction and maintenance industry. Lee grew up in a world where organic applications were common, then watched as the world moved to synthetic fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides; only to come full circle returning to the promotion of beneficial re-use of items currently considered “waste”. He adopted the phrase for the company of “it isn’t waste until you waste it”; and nothing speaks louder than experience, both in product development and general business.

Steve is also a golf course owner, and is committed to working to reduce synthetic inputs to the turf, and is promoting the change in thinking amongst the golf industry.

Lisa Sherrard, Director of Finance and Administration

Lisa takes on the underlying administrative structure that supports the overall delivery of the Purple Cow product line. Lisa a parent of a young child and recognizes the benefit of reduced synthetic inputs, especially when it comes to the quality of the soil that our food is grown in, the air that our children breathe, and the long term health of the world we live in and will pass on to the next generation.
